The Immanuel Baptist Youth Group has adopted a 1-mile
stretch of Barkada Road from the Hwy 425 Intersection
to Tanglewood drive. This program will provide our
youth group the opportunity to perform a worthwhile
community service while enhancing Drew County's image
and natural beauty. The local Adopt-A-Roadway program
allows volunteer groups to adopt a section of roadway
for the purpose of litter control. The Adopt-A-Roadway
program provides a mechanism for concerned citizens to
address and become personally involved in improving
our environment. We at Immanuel Baptist Church are
proud to do our part to help keep our community
beautiful, just like God intended. For more
information about the Adopt-A-Roadway program in your
area, contact your local City, County or State
Government.
